Early 1972 Kawasaki Z1 900 for sale. An iconic, classic Kawasaki and the most collectible of them all. Do not confuse this motorcycle with the other 1972 Kawasaki Z1 900s on the market. This particular classic Kawasaki is completely different and exceptionally exceptionally rare. Kawasaki made the first 1200 units with many different parts to the remaining other 3650 units in 1972. Kawasaki used a unique cylinder head, unfortunately nearly always, replaced under warranty or upgraded. This example retains the original piece, making it unique and very rare indeed. The chassis number is in the low 200s, so it is very early indeed. There were many other differences, such as the colour of the bodywork.

A proper investment grade restoration of the highest quality by a leading authority on these super rare Kawasakis. The expert, and guru who undertook this restoration, diligently took several years to get this remarkable piece just exactly right. The guru spied, and hunted, and sniped to acquire each of the super-rare components that make these first 1200 units so unique. Every detail is factory correct. The guru even personally oversaw the mixing of the candy root beer and the light metal flake orange candy paints, which are unique to these first 1200. This iconic Japanese superbike is the recipient of the highest quality restoration, after being left to rot, then subsequently revived to museum quality. Kawasaki have chassis number 1 in their museum and it is incorrect by comparison to this stunning example. All components have the correct coded August 1972 production date stamps, making the investment blue chip.
