1972 Kawasaki H2 KH750 for sale, often referred to as “The Widow Maker” due to its terrifying handling and ease of acceleration. Still undervalued and a whole load of fun to be enjoyed from the ultimate tearaway hooligan machine of choice from Japan. These three cylinder two strokes are still great fun to own and ride and a very undervalued, as investment grade examples are extremely rare. True, they are not the best handling machine because of the long, flexible swing arm, but with modern tyres and an awareness of speedo readings they are still a joy to ride. Many believe the outrageous power band was why they were received such a cautionary and dangerous name. However, this is not the case, the power band on all large capacity two stroke motorcycles from Japan of this era was designed to deliver torque not wheel spins and wheelies. Most examples now have powder coated frames, incorrectly assembled and set up motors and have lost their original parts, but not this example. Apart from having had a beautifully crafted light touch restoration, it is a highly original two stroke classic motorcycle.

Highly original two stroke classic

This highly original two stroke classic motorcycle offers an insight into a short period of technology from Japanese motorcycle manufacturers which only lasted between 1969 and 1977. This particular example is highly original and has original frame paint, original exhausts, original date stamped wheel rims and original bodywork. Most of these machines have switch gear from later models, but this example retains the original items. It even retains the original chain oiler, which was usually removed as they sprayed the rear wheel and tyre with oil, so today it is run with an empty chain oil tank. The body work was resprayed the correct colours and the mudguards and exhausts have been re-chromed. The motor is very sound, the crankshaft seals are in perfect condition and it is set up to enjoy and runs beautifully. With just 23,000 miles and a very sound motor this will offer its new owner many miles of trouble free joy and one of the nicest investment grade Kawasaki H2 available. Obviously to anyone of a certain age this motorcycle will deliver more nostalgia through the smell of the two stroke than a time machine delivering you to a Slade concert in the early to mid 1970s.

750cc two stroke classic motorcycle

There is no other 750cc two stroke motorcycle that will deliver such joy and offer such incredible returns. These are still a bundle of fun to ride for any two stroke aficionados, just keep your eye on the speedo. They accelerate so effortlessly that it’s very easy to find yourself travelling at far greater speeds than you realise. If they are treated with respect then bundles of joy can be guaranteed for riders of these two stroke smokers. It is very easy to think you’re travelling at much lower speeds than you are really moving at because these machines accelerate so rapidly and effortlessly, they are very torquey indeed, which is why owners loved them when they were new. Treating them with respect when getting into corners will result in pure riding joy, they are not scratchers, they were built for the straight roads of the USA and drag strip posing. Modern tyres do help them to behave much better than in the day of cross ply tyres and they are a very easy motorcycle to get to know and offer bundles of motorcycling joy at every turn, if you show them respect.
